Its all about LUCK

Well bet my friends will be surprised why i took so long to blog about liverpool's success in the Champions League despite it being such an exciting, pulsating and whatever yada yada thing that they can come out with about the game. 2 reasons why i took so long:

1. I reached home at 7 and slept till 3 whereafter i went for a ex-class gathering, i.e. there was absolutely no time to blog

2. I like both Manchester United and Inter-Milan which translates into hatred for Liverpool and A.C. Milan respectively, so i have absolutely no interest in the match. I wouldn't be happy regardless of which side won the cup, simply because its a gross final set-up

Anyway, more than enough had been said about the match on the papers (which i simply refused to read) Just want to said that i hoped all the Pool fans out there recognised that it was a year where they seemingly had the mandate to win and thus it was luck which carried them through and so do not gloat too much over it. I hoped that they do not do what Man U fans did 6 years ago where everyone gloated over how good the team was when they won the treble where it was obvious to all that LUCK was again the determining factor (Schemiechel's impending departure a big influence as he is a player who deserves to win all the stuff then) I knew i was ashamed and embarassed to call myself a Man U supporter (haha thats why ppl seldom know i support Man U) since then due to the way some fans shamelessly gloat over those acheivements. Anyway, i am against the idea of allowing a fifth English team in the competition. Spain had already set a precedent by kicking out the 4th placed team then and what makes the English a bigger association than the Spanish. As for the rubbish idea that the holders be allowed to defend their trophy, its called RETRIBUTION simply because they were also the ones who set the precedent by refusing to defend their UEFA cup when they won it in 2001 because they qualify for the Champions League. Porto and Valencia soon follow suit. Therefore they simply do not have the moral right to argue on this basis when they themselves refuse to defend a particular trophy.

PS: Anyway, in case people thought i had change loyalty. I must reiterate the stance that Man U and Inter-Milan are the 1st 2 teams that i support due to the lack of coverage on local tv when i started watching soccer but Werder Bremen is still my NUMBER ONE supported team k.
